Neighbours Helping Neighbours
Strengthening community through shared support.
Program Description
With support from the Ontario Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility, the Neighbours Helping Neighbours program at Muslim Social Services Waterloo Region supports refugee, newcomer, and marginalized women by fostering social connection and community support. Through workshops, peer groups, hands-on activities, and guest speakers, participants gain practical knowledge, build confidence, and access important resources. The program offers a safe, inclusive space where women can share experiences, feel supported, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the community.
