Join the BMY Connect - Black Muslim Youth Peer Mental Health Leadership Program!

Are you a Black Muslim youth aged 14–21 who wants to make a difference in your community?
Do you care about peer mental health and want to learn how to support other youth in your community?
Are you ready to grow as a leader and help build a stronger, more connected community for Black Muslim youth in Waterloo Region?

Muslim Social Services Waterloo Region (MSSWR) is inviting you to apply for the BMY Connect Program — an exciting new 6-week initiative designed for Black Muslim youth!

Together, we’ll explore how to care for ourselves and each other, learn how to support peers who may be struggling with their mental health, and strengthen our collective leadership and resilience as a community.

Before you Apply

This program is designed specifically for Black Muslim youth in Waterloo Region who are passionate about supporting their peers and building a stronger community.

Before you begin your application, please confirm that the following apply to you:

I identify as Black and Muslim

I am between the ages of 14 and 21

I live in Waterloo Region

I can attend all six program sessions in January and February, which fall on Wednesdays from 4:30 – 6:30pm:
